Constant use of these devices over a sufficiently long period of time can eventually lead to malfunctions or incorrect readings. Given that situation, every manufacturer recommends that the devices be maintained and or calibrated after a specific amount of time.
It is a document issued by Global Partners to certify that a specific device has been calibrated or maintained by certified technicians in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
This document serves as proof of an adequate and timely maintenance or calibration of a specific device.
Alcohol testing devices: It is necessary to maintain them regularly, as the sensor (also known as combustion cell) analyzes and tests for ethanol in the user’s breath.
Drug testing devices: It is necessary to calibrate them once a month using the included positive and negative QC cartridges to ensure accurate results.
In addition, the batteries may malfunction or otherwise stop working properly if the device isn’t used for long periods of time.
Alcohol testing devices: It could cause the sensor to malfunction and report inaccurate readings and, in some cases, irreparable damage.
Drug testing devices: It may lose accuracy or not work at all.
